Head Teacher - Eliza Lurie
First grade is a world of excitement! From guided reading groups to reading buddies with the upper school students, writer's workshop and math exploration, students in the First Grade Club are busy thinking all day long! Weekly visits to the garden allow children to get their hands dirty to witness and measure the growth of plants over an extended period of time. Students also shop in our class store with the (money) they've earned with good behavior. Ms. Lurie's first graders are learning how to use their life skills to build camaraderie and cooperation, and each climb up Goal Mountain earns us a success party! Cheers to the journey of life-long learning!
