The Head of School shall retain a copy of the document or written verification offered as proof of residency. In addition, the Head of School shall annually verify the student's residency and retain a copy of the document or written statement offered as verification.

In the event that facilities or budget limit the size of enrollment in any given year or if enrollment is limited by agreement with the Sausalito Marin City School District, qualified students shall be admitted under the following priorities:

  • Should any lottery winner of a place subsequently withdraw their application, the next applicant drawn in that same lottery shall be awarded the vacated place.

Prior to admission, the Head of School shall conduct an interview with the student and parents/guardians to explain the school’s polices, procedures, rules and regulations. Prior to admission, each parent/guardian shall in good faith execute the Parent’s Contract confirming the parent/guardian’s commitment to the school, the student’s education and the obligation to perform volunteer hours. No student shall be admitted until the parent/guardian has approved the Parent Contract.

Prior to the admission of any new or transferring student, the Head of School will perform an evaluation of the student’s grade level achievements. The Head of School shall consider any transcripts or records provided by the former school, communication with former teachers, interview by the Head of School or designee with the student and any preadmission test developed by Willow Creek Academy. In the event the Head of School determines that the student is not qualified to enter the grade for which the student has applied, the Head of School shall inform the parent/guardian of the grade level placement in Willow Creek Academy and the parent/guardian will be required to acknowledge this placement in writing.

All student evaluations and screening will be non-discriminatory and without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, creed, sex, ethnicity, ancestry, proficiency in English language, or academic achievement, and in accordance with the laws of California.
