As a charter school, Willow Creek Academy is required to hold an admissions lottery in the event that we receive more applications than we have available openings at any grade level.
In order to minimize the anxiety that can be associated with lotteries, we will use a randomizing software program to create our lists instantly.
A family does not need to attend the lottery to participate in the lottery.
Students admitted as district residents will need to be in residence at the time of the lottery and will need to show proof of residency at the time of enrollment. Documents that may be used to show residency include the following: a rental/lease agreement in the parent/guardian’s name; a mortgage document or property assessment document in the parent/guardian’s name; or a utility bill for water, electric, gas, or telephone that indicates the billing is in the parent/guardian’s name and is sent to the residence.
The state of California requires that students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by or on September 1 of the year they enter Kindergarten.
